The petitioner was convicted for an offence under Section 302 IPC and sentenced to life imprisonment vide order dated 03.09.2007 in S.C.No.41 of 2006. The High Court dismissed the petitioner’s criminal appeal in Criminal Appeal No.843 of 2007 on 10.07.2009 and the Hon’ble Supreme Court subsequently declined to interfere with the same. The petitioner has spent more than 14 years imprisonment. He seeks premature release on 24.01.2026. 3.
