By this petition, petitioner herein is seeking a direction upon the respondents not to dispossess the petitioner from Govt. Quarter No. 39-J, Kachi Chawni, Tange Wali, Jammu, without adopting due course of law, till he is employed as Supervisor (Housekeeping Operations), in terms of Order No. WFHRPL/321 dated 01.06.2026 issued by the Managing Director, Workforce Human Resources Pvt. Ltd., on behalf of the Government of UT of J&K, to supervise and monitor housekeeping operations in Govt. Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar and Govt. SKICS Stadium, Srinagar. 02. It is stated by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner herein has been allotted Govt. Quarter No. 39-J, situated at Kachi Chawni, Tange Wali, Jammu vide Allotment Order No. 07-Est of 2023 dated 20.01.2023. Along with the said quarter, certain household articles/goods were also allotted to the petitioner on 06.02.2023. 03. It is further stated that petitioner herein is facing threat perception, being a Kashmiri Pandit who is working in the General Administration Department, UT of J&K. The petitioner superannuated from J&K Housing Board on 30.01.2026 and has been re-employed as Supervisor (Housekeeping Operations) by the UT of J&K vide order dated 01.06.2026. 04. Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that since August, 2026, officials of the Estates Department are threatening the petitioner to vacate the quarter within seven days, without following due procedure of law. 56 2 WP(C) No. 2738/2026 05. On the other hand, Mrs. Monika Kohli, learned Sr. AAG submits that the petitioner is not being evicted from the Quarter in question without following due procedure of law, as eviction notice has already been issued against him. 06. Be that as it may, this petition is disposed of by providing that petitioner shall not be dispossessed/evicted from Govt. Quarter No. 39-J, situated at Kachi Chawni, Tange Wali, Jammu without adopting due course of law. (Moksha Khajuria Kazmi) Judge Jammu 31.08.2026 Abinash
