AAAG Mr. Abhijit Raha Ms. Tamanna Kar ..for the State It is the grievance of the petitioner that he had executed a work order relating to the electrification of primary schools for their reopening within the jurisdiction of the Rajganj Development Block. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, despite successful execution of the said work, no payment has been released in his favour till date. It further appears that the petitioner has submitted a series of representations before the Block Development Officer, Rajganj Development Block, requesting release of his legitimate dues. Mr. Jagriti Mishra, learned Assistant Additional Advocate General, submits that no completion certificate was issued by the competent authority in the present matter. He further submits that the 2 concerned Block Development Officer, who was functioning at the relevant point of time, has since been transferred and that several allegations of financial irregularities have been levelled against him. It is further submitted that the claim of the petitioner is clearly barred by limitation. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the present Block Development Officer, Rajganj Development Block, to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation, annexed at page 61 of the writ petition, in accordance with law, by passing a reasoned order, within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order. Before passing such order, the Block Development Officer, Rajganj Development Block, shall afford the petitioner a reasonable opportunity of hearing. Accordingly, WPA 1041 of 2026 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
