ORAL ORDER The petitioners have sought for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.4 and 5 to consider their representations dated 04.04.2026 and pay the compensation in respect of land bearing Sy.No.29 of Doddamankanala Village, Doddabelvangala Hobli, Doddaballapura Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District, measuring 2 acres.
2. The petitioners claim that they are the owners of 2 acres of land in Sy.No.29 of Doddamankanala Village, Doddabelvangala Hobli, Doddaballapura Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District. They contend that the respondent No.1 initiated

acquisition proceedings in respect of the above mentioned land, under the provisions of the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Act, 1966 (henceforth referred to as 'the KIAD Act') for establishing an industrial area in terms of a final notification dated 18.03.2025. The petitioners claim that their names were not mentioned in both the preliminary and the final notification. Thereafter, they approached the respondent No.4 and enquired about the notification and filed a representation dated 04.04.2026 before the respondent No.4 claiming compensation. The petitioners contend that their representation is not considered till date and therefore pray that a direction be issued to the respondent Nos.4 and 5 to consider the representation and pay the compensation.

The learned counsel for the petitioners reiterated the above submissions and submitted that a direction be issued to the respondent Nos.4 and 5 to consider the representation dated 04.04.2026 and pay the compensation. The learned counsel for the respondent Nos.4 and 5 submits that the representation of the petitioners would be considered in

accordance with law and if the petitioners are entitled to the compensation, the same would be released to them.
4. In view of the aforesaid submissions, the following
order is passed:
ORDER i. This petition is allowed; ii. The respondent Nos.4 and 5 are directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 04.04.2026 and if the petitioners are entitled to receive the compensation, the respondent Nos.4 and 5 shall pass appropriate orders in favour of the petitioners in accordance with law, at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order.
