Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the recovery in the present case is 9.725 Kgs. of Ganja and the petitioner is in custody for 3 and a half months. Charge sheet has already been submitted before the jurisdictional Court. As such, petitioner may be released on bail.
Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that next date has been fixed for consideration of charges. It has also been submitted on behalf of the State that the quantum of recovery is 9.725 Kgs. of Ganja. Having considered that intermediate quantity of contraband has been seized, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. Accordingly, Petitioner, namely, Sk. Israfil shall furnish bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) with two sureties of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of Learned Judge, under NDPS Act, Tamluk, Purba Midnapore. If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date fixed before the learned Trial Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of District of Purba Midnapore without the prior permission of the learned Special Court.
Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1479 of 2026 is allowed.
