1. Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner and State respondents.
2. During course of hearing on behalf of the State respondents a communication dated 7th July, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Panskura Police Station is filed and same is taken on record.
3. Copy of the communication dated 7th July, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.
4. It is disclosed in the communication dated 7th July, 2026 that after death of husband of respondent no.6, said respondent no.6 is staying at a flat which was owned by her husband at Mechogram. Dispute is concerning a house which
is at present under lock and key.
5. From the police authorities, it was intimated to the petitioner that if she is willing to stay at the said house at Mysora, in that event necessary steps can be taken thereby providing assistance to the petitioner which would facilitate the petitioner to stay at the said house.
6. It further appears from the said communication that till date petitioner has not sent any intimation expressing her willingness to stay at the house at Mysora.
7. In view of aforesaid scenario, present writ petition stands disposed of thereby giving direction upon the concerned police authority to provide assistance to the petitioner, in the event petitioner expresses her willingness by sending letter to the concerned police authorities that she desires to stay at the house at Mysora.
8. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.) 2
