Mr. Das, learned Additional Government Pleader representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 6th July, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Ranitala Police Station, Murshidabad being respondent no. 6 and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication is made over to the learned advocate representing petitioner. 2. Complaint was lodged before the concerned police authority alleging that petitioner was threatened by his in-laws when he met his son. It needs to be recorded herein that there is marital acrimony between the petitioner and one Rima Mondal being respondent no. 7. Subsequently, Rima Mondal married 2 Kashinath Mondal being respondent no. 8 as it is disclosed in the communication dated 6th July, 2026. However, issue of alleged second marriage of Rima Mondal with Kashinath Mondal is not an issue to be delved into in this writ petition. 3. Based on the complaint lodged alleging threat by in-laws of the petitioner when petitioner met his son one Non Cognizable Report No. 162 of 2026 dated 20th February, 2026 under Sections 126/135(3) BNSS was submitted by the concerned police authorities. 4. Police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility and to see that no untoward incident takes place. 5. Writ petition stands disposed of. 6. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
