The affidavit of service filed today is taken on record. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved that the respondent no. 1 has raised an inflated bill for the month of March 2026 for a meager 132 units. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner had made an application before the Grievance Redressal Officer on June 16, 2026, which is pending consideration. 3. In the meanwhile, the authorities proceeded to disconnect the electricity connection of the petitioner on the ground that he had not paid the bill or any part thereof. 4. Mr. Sanyal, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the respondents, submits that the reconnection has been effected and the petitioner is presently getting electricity. 5. In view of the afore-stated, I direct the Grievance 2 Redressal Officer, the respondent no. 3 herein, to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated June 16, 2026 by August 10, 2026. 6. The petitioner’s electricity connection shall not be disconnected in the meanwhile before taking decision on the representation. 7. The petitioner will, however, pay the regular bills from the month of April, May and June 2026, which are outstanding, by July 13, 2026. The petitioner will also keep making payment of monthly bill for the subsequent months without any default. 8. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 9. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
