The petitioner by way of present writ petition, seeks the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing respondent No.2 to consider his representation/complaint dated 27.04.2026 (Annexure P-2). 2
The petitioner is aggrieved of alleged illegal encroachment made upon Gram Panchayat Land by respondent No.6 on the ground that respondent No.6, being Sarpanch is misusing his office. 3
In the considered opinion of this Court, a person aggrieved by encroachment upon land belonging to Gram Panchayat has his remedies under the provisions of the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act,
1961.

In view of the above, this Court finds no reason to interfere in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to avail his statutory remedies.
