By way of this petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs : 10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased SHYNA AJAY Digitally signed by SHYNA AJAY Date: 2026.07.17 18:34:56 +0530 2 to call the entire records from the respondents. 10.2 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent authority to issue Caste Certificate to the Petitioner. 10.3 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the Respondents that the scheme of issue of Social Status Certificate is covered under the Chhattisgarh Public Service Guarantee Act, 2011, where the Competent Authority has to submit the application before 30 days from the date of receipt of the application. The respondents should be disposed of within the stipulated time. 10.4 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief or pass such other and further orders as may be deemed fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case in the interest of justice 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Social Status Certificate of the petitioner has not been issued, despite the application having been filed way back in the year 2022. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner has already been issued a Social Status Certificate, however, the petitioner is still awaiting his own. 3. At this juncture, learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has not filed the application in the prescribed proforma and the same is incomplete, therefore, it could not be considered. He submits that if the petitioner files a fresh application in the proper proforma in accordance with Rule 3 of the Chhattisgarh Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Regulation of Social Status Certification) Rules, 2013, 3 the same will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and also perused the documents annexed with the petition. 5. Manifestly, it appears that the petitioner has not filed the application in the prescribed format under Rule 3 of the aforesaid Rules, 2013. Therefore, the application (Annexure P/1) for issuance of the Social Status Certificate could not be considered. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of this petition with liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh, appropriate application in the prescribed format along with all the relevant documents including the Social Status Certificate issued to his father. The petitioner is directed to file the application within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such application, the concerned authorities are directed to consider and decide the application within a period of 45 days thereafter in accordance with law. It is further directed that if the petitioner fails to submit any necessary documents, the concerned authority shall duly inform the petitioner to enable him to produce the same prior to passing of final orders. 7.
