Petitioner is aggrieved by the punishment order dated 17.01.2026, whereby a minor punishment has been imposed to withhold two annual increments with cumulative effect. 3. Learned counsel for the Power Corporation (respondents No. 3 and 4) has raised a preliminary objection with regard to the maintainability of the instant writ petition on the ground of availability of an alternative remedy to file an appeal before the higher authority under the U.P. Power Corporation Limited Employees (Discipline and Appeal) Regulations, 2020. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has not refuted the submission advanced by the learned leaned counsel for the respondents No. 3 and 4 qua availability of an alternative remedy, as mentioned above. 5. As such, instant writ petition is dismissed, being not maintainable, on the ground of availability of an alternative remedy to approach before the higher authority, as mentioned above.
