The petitioner is an accused in connection with S.T. No.156 of 2025 arising out of Pakur (Mahila) P.S. Case No. 10 of 2022. It has been alleged that the petitioner had established physical relationship with the informant on the pretext of marriage. When the informant became pregnant, she was administered medicine, which terminated the fetus. A Panchayti was convened and the petitioner refused to solemnize marriage with the informant. Submission has been advanced by the learned senior counsel on behalf of the petitioner that the informant has solemnized marriage with another person on 04.09.2011. In support of it, a certificate has been relied upon. Learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 18.01.2026. Learned counsel for the informant has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has doubted the veracity of the certificate which has been brought on record by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner. It appears from the nature of allegation levelled in the First Information Report that the victim was a consenting party to the sexual overtures of the petitioner. Considering the said fact, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Pakur in connection with S.T.
