The present petition has been preferred under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking a direction to the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Raipur to expedite the trial in Criminal Case No.11071/2023 arising out of Crime No.62/2023 registered at Police Station Mahila Thana, District Raipur for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A/34 and 406 of the Indian Penal Code. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the charge-sheet was filed on 18.07.2023. Thereafter, charges were framed on 02.06.2025, however, despite lapse of considerable time, the case has not been fixed for recording of prosecution evidence and not even a single prosecution witness has been examined till date. It is further submitted that all the prosecution witnesses are residents of Raipur and, therefore, no difficulty is likely to be faced in securing their presence before the trial Court. It is prayed that an appropriate direction be issued to the trial Court for expeditious conclusion of the trial. 4. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into consideration the fact that the charges have already been framed and no prosecution witness has yet been examined, this Court is of the opinion that the interest of justice would be served by directing the trial Court to make an endeavour to conclude the trial expeditiously. 3 5. Accordingly, the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Raipur, conducting the trial in Criminal Case No.11071/2023 arising out of Crime No.62/2023 registered at Police Station Mahila Thana, District Raipur (C.G.), is directed to make all possible endeavour to conclude the trial, preferably within a period of nine (09) months from today, without being influenced by any observation made herein. 6.
