Earlier application was rejected on merits vide order dated 24.04.2026 passed in M.Cr.C No.3757/2026 2. Brief facts of the case are that on 24.01.2026, complainant Roshan Jaiswal, lodged an FIR at Police Station Ambikapur on the basis of information received over the phone from Anand Gupta, alleging that the present Applicant, along with co-accused Ayush Soni and another person, in furtherance of their common intention and owing to previous enmity, assaulted the complainant's brother Ritik Jaiswal with a knife at Vinod Daily Needs Shop situated in front of Ganpati Petrol Pump, Chandni Chowk, Ambikapur, with the intention to cause his death, thereby inflicting a knife injury on his abdomen. The injured was immediately taken to the District Hospital, Ambikapur for treatment. Accordingly, offences as mentioned above have been registered against the present Applicant. Hence, this application. 3. Learned Counsel for the Applicant submits that the Applicant is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. He further submits that this is the second bail application and the new ground urged is that, out of 13 prosecution witnesses, four have already been examined, 3 including the injured, and the injured has not supported the prosecution case and has turned hostile during trial. He lastly submits that the Applicant is in custody since 25.01.2026 and the trial is likely to take considerable time for its conclusion, therefore, he may be enlarged on regular bail. 4. On the other hand, learned State Counsel opposes the bail application and submits that the first bail application of the Applicant has already been rejected on merits. It is further submitted that the Applicant is specifically alleged to have inflicted a knife blow on the abdomen of the injured, who sustained grievous injuries. It is further submitted that the injured has since turned hostile during trial, which prima facie indicates that the Applicant has tampered with the prosecution evidence, therefore, it is prayed that the second bail application may be rejected. 5. Considering the submissions advanced by learned Counsel for the parties, the nature and gravity of the allegations, the material available in the case diary, the specific allegation against the present Applicant of inflicting a knife blow on the abdomen of the injured, the grievous nature of the injuries sustained by the injured, the fact that the first bail application of the Applicant has already been rejected on merits and further considering that the injured has turned hostile during 4 the course of trial, which prima facie raises an apprehension of tampering with the prosecution evidence and without further commenting anything on the merits of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the present Applicant. 6. Accordingly, the bail application of the applicant – Satyam Sonkar involved in Crime No.50/2026 registered at Police Station – Ambikapur, District- Sarguja (C.G.), for the offences under Section 109 r/w Section 3(5) of BNS, 2023 as also under Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act is hereby rejected. 7.
