Ms. Doyel Dey, Adv. …For the applicants (in CPAN 1725 of 2025 with CPAN 124 of 2026) Mr. Tapan Bhanja, Adv. ….For the Alleged Contemnor (in CPAN 1725 of 2025) In Re: CPAN 1725 of 2025 Mr. Debasish Kundu, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that, the petitioner nos. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 have already received necessary intimation to participate in the ongoing medical examination. He submits that ,the petitioner no. 4 has not yet received such 2 intimation to attend the ongoing medical examination. Mr. Tapan Bhanja, learned Advocate appearing for the alleged contemnors submits that, steps are taken for issuance of necessary intimation to the petitioner no. 4 for his participation in the ongoing medical examination. This contempt proceeding arose from the judgment and order dated September 25, 2025 which has also been affirmed by the Hon’ble Division Bench in MAT 99 of 2026 under the order dated May 20, 2026 passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench. Paragraph 10 of the said judgment dated September 15, 2025 shows that, the petitioners were allowed to be considered within the consideration zone for next step of the selection process strictly in accordance with law and the said next step was the detailed medical examination. Since except petitioner no. 4 all other petitioners have received the call for detailed medical examination, the cause of contempt in this contempt proceeding does not survive any further in favour of petitioner nos. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6. The instant contempt proceeding shall survive henceforth only for the petitioner no. 4. Accordingly, this contempt proceeding CPAN 1725 of 2025 stands dropped and closed 3 insofar, as petitioner nos. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 are concerned and shall remain pending for petitioner no. 4. Pendency of this contempt proceeding shall not preclude the alleged contemnors to carry out the direction of this Court in respect of petitioner no.4 in the meantime and to file a compliance report before this Court on the next day. In the event the Court finds non-compliance of its direction, this Court may proceed to issue Rule on the next day. List this matter under the heading ‘Contempt Application’ on July 24, 2026 for further consideration. In Re: CPAN 124 of 2026 This is a contempt proceeding arising from an order dated September 25, 2025 passed by this Court. The judgment has been upheld by the Hon’ble Division Bench under its order dated May 20, 2026 in MAT 99 of 2026. Today is the first day. The petitioners shall serve a copy of the contempt application along with a copy of today’s order upon the alleged contemnors and shall file an affidavit-of-service when the matter shall be taken up next. 4 Pendency of this contempt proceeding shall not preclude the alleged contemnors to carry out the direction of this Court in the meantime and to file a compliance report before this Court on the next day. In the event the Court finds non-compliance of its direction, this Court may proceed to issue Rule on the next day.
