In terms of the order dated 6th April, 2026, a report is filed by the Officer-in-Charge, Jangipara Police Station dated 7th July, 2026 and same is taken on record. Copy of the said report dated 7th July, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioners. 2. It is disclosed in the said report that a report was obtained from Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Jangipara, Hooghly which was forwarded to the concerned police authority vide memo dated 21st April, 2026 disclosing that petitioners are residing at the property in question. In support of contents of such memo dated 21st April, 2026, relevant records of rights are annexed wherefrom it appears that name of the petitioner no.1 is appearing against the land in question. 3. In the writ petition prayer is made for giving direction upon the concerned police authority in order to protect the right of the petitioners over the land in question. 4. In view of aforesaid situation, no further order need be passed on this writ petition excepting a direction upon the concerned police authorities to keep vigil at [2] the locale and to see that no untoward incident takes place. 5. However, petitioners are at liberty to approach the appropriate forum, in the event, right of the petitioners over the property in question is infringed. 6. Writ petition stands disposed of. 7.
