The petitioners have filed the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 3 to consider/appoint the petitioners on the post of Constable in District Police and Armed Police Cadres under the reservation of 2% quota for the ‘wards of police personnel’. Further, seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari for quashing the impugned order dated 19.02.2025 (Annexure P-30), wherein the certificate (Annexure P-16) under 2% quota for ‘wards of police personnel’ is not recommended to be issued/renewed and order dated 24.12.2022, whereby it has been ordered that only one ward of police personnel can claim reservation of 2% quota. 2. After arguing the case for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioners wishes to withdraw the instant petition with liberty to file a fresh one on the same cause of action with better particulars. 3.
