Accused in Crime No.160/2026 registered by Suryanagar Police Station, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 109, 115(2), 74, 126(2) and 352 of BNS, 2023, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.160/2026 was registered by Suryanagar Police Station, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 109, 115(2) and 74 of BNS, 2023 against the petitioner herein based on the first information dated 06.05.2026 received from Subramanya s/o B.Narayanarao, who is one of the alleged victims in the present case. In the said case, the petitioner was arrested on 06.05.2026 and remanded to judicial custody. His bail application before the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34305 CRL.P No. 7305 of 2026 jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.5227/2026 was rejected on 15.05.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. A perusal of the first information dated 06.05.2026 would reveal that on the said date at about 2.45 p.m., for the reason that the first informant had not given way to the car bearing registration No.KA-51-MZ-2942 in which the petitioner was travelling, the petitioner allegedly intercepted the car bearing registration No.KA-59-0815 in which the first informant was travelling with his family members and after abusing him had also assaulted him. It is further alleged that the petitioner tried to outrage the modesty of his wife, assaulted his son and also criminally intimidated them stating that he is a rowdy- sheeter. The wound certificate of the first informant would reveal that he has suffered simple injuries. 5. Investigation of the case is completed and charge sheet has been filed. The petitioner is in custody in the present case for more than two months. 6. Under the said circumstances, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner for grant of regular bail - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34305 CRL.P No. 7305 of 2026 needs to be answered affirmatively subject to appropriate conditions. Accordingly, the following: The petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.160/2026 registered by Suryanagar Police Station, Bengaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 109, 115(2), 74, 126(2) and 352 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: a) Petitioner shall execute personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future; e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without the permission of the said - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34305 CRL.P No. 7305 of 2026 Court until the case registered against him is disposed of.
