Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs. “10.i To kindly be pleased to call the record of the case from the respondents with respect to proceedings of Departmental Scrutiny Committee dated 18/11/2025 for granting of Senior Selection Grade pay. ii. To kindly direct the respondent no. 1 to consider the representation dated 16/12/2025 submitted by the petitioner in light of the circulars of the state government also in light of the judgment passed by Hon'ble Supreme Court in case of Union of India Vs K.V. Janakiraman reported vide (1991) 4 SCC 109 and Union of India Vs Anil Kumar Sarkar (2013) 4 SCC 161, Union of India and Ors. Vs Doly Loyi Neutral Citation: 2024 INSC 729. iii. To kindly direct the respondents to open the sealed cover recommendation of the petitioner in meeting of Departmental Scrutiny Committee dated 18/11/2025 for granting of PAWAN KUMAR JHA Digitally signed by PAWAN KUMAR JHA 2 / 2 Senior Selection Grade Pay with all consequential benefits. iv. To kindly directed the respondent no. 1 to issue an order in favour of the petitioner for Senior Selection grade pay by granting all consequential benefits w.e.f. the date 01/01/2025 from which other similar situated persons are granted Senior Selection Grade Pay by order dated 28/11/2025 (Annexure P/1). v. To kindly be pleased to pass any other order that may be deemed fit and just in the facts and circumstances of the case.” 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the grievance of petitioner in this writ petition is that petitioner submitted representation before Respondent No. 1 for opening of the sealed envelop which is kept by the Departmental Promotion Committee held on 18.11.2025 for grant of senior selection grade pay, therefore, direction be issued to Respondent No. 1 to consider and decide the representation submitted by petitioner at the earliest within specified time frame. 3. Learned State counsel submits that in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner seeking direction to take decision on the representation, he is having no objection to the limited prayer. 4. On due consideration of the submission of counsel for the parties, considering the nature of grievance raised in this writ petition, without entering into merit of the case, this writ petition is disposed at this stage, directing Respondent No. 1 to take decision on the representation dated 16.12.2025 submitted by petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a further period of 06 weeks from the date of receipt of representation. 5.
