Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, West Bengal granted a permanent Contract Carriage Permit in respect of auto rickshaws in favour of the petitioner. 3. Petitioner was inter alia directed to place the compliant vehicle with specification within thirty days from the date of this letter. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that however due to acute financial crisis the petitioner could not comply with the same and made a representation dated 12th January, 2026 for extension of the time. 5. Learned counsel submits that this has yet not been considered by the Secretary Regional Transport Authority, South 24 Parangas, Alipore Regional Transport Office, Kolkata. 6. Learned counsel submits that the authority may be directed to consider the same in accordance with Rule 141 of the West Bengal Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. 7. In view of the submission made the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, South 24- Pargans is directed to consider the representation dated 12th January, 2026 within eight weeks in accordance with law after giving the petitioner an opportunity of being heard within four weeks in accordance with law.. 8. The authority shall communicate the decision within one week. 9. This petition stands disposed of. 10.
