This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the husband praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track 2nd Court at Howrah to dispose of the Mat Suit No. 852 of 2023 expeditiously. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits the matrimonial suit is pending since 2020 and it is at the stage of further cross-examination of the plaintiff’s witness no. 1. He submits that July 21, 2026 has been fixed for further cross-examination of PW-1. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite party. However, the learned advocate-on-record of the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order, upon the opposite party or upon the learned
2 advocate representing the opposite party before the learned trial judge. In the light of the submission made by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, CO 2050 of 2026 stands disposed of by requesting the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track 2nd Court at Howrah to make an endeavour to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 852 of 2023 as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
