Pursuant to a notification issued on 20th November, 2008, the petitioner applied for Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) and appeared for the interview fixed on 28th January, 2009. She was selected for the post and her name appeared in the selection list passed by the authority. Unfortunately, she has not been appointed till date. Applicants similarly circumstanced with the petitioner approached this Court in writ petitions and pursuant to direction of the Court, have been appointed. The petitioner seeks to submit a comprehensive representation ventilating her grievance before the District Magistrate and Collector, Purulia being the 2nd respondent herein and seeks a direction upon the said authority to consider the same appropriately. 2 The petitioner is granted liberty to submit a comprehensive application in this regard before the 2nd respondent within seven days from date. The 2nd respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the same within four weeks from the date of receipt thereof upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all concerned including the petitioner, in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereof. In the event the 2nd respondent arrives at a decision in favour of the petitioner, necessary consequential steps be taken at the earliest. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
