Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 2 months although charges have been framed and one witness has been partially examined. Prosecution has relied upon 9 witnesses in order to prove its case. There is no possibility of the trial being taken to its logical conclusion in near future, as such, the petitioner may be released on bail on any stringent conditions. Learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention of the Court to the seizure list. I have taken into account the materials which have been seized in this case. Having considered the same, I am of the opinion 2 that the prosecution be given some more opportunity to adduce evidence in support of its case. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM(M)2780 of 2025 is dismissed at this stage.
