Direct the Respondent No.2 to complete the investigation in Crime No.265/2023 pending before the 1 Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court, in the interest of justice and equity. ii. Direct the Respondent No.2 and its officers to conduct the investigation in a fair, impartial and expeditious manner, strictly in accordance with law and in compliance with the observations made by the Co-ordinate bench of this Hon'ble Court in W.P.No.26108/2025 vide judgment dated 25.09.2025 herewith enclosed as Annexure E; iii. Pass any such other order(s) as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity.” 2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that a direction be issued to the Investigating Officer to complete the crime as the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34369 CRL.P No. 6134 of 2026 reference is of the year 2023. In a case concerning, the offence is punishable under Section 420 of IPC and the Investigating Officer has not filed his final report even as on date. 3. It is rather surprising that in a case which concerns an offence under Section 420 of IPC and the facts being so trivial, the Investigating Officer has displayed a lackadaisical attitude in not concluding the investigation within a time frame. Therefore, the investigation shall stand concluded within the next eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order in accordance with law and the issue be taken towards logical conclusion.
