Disposed of
C.R.M. (M) 2778 of 2025
In Re: An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 corresponding to section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Falta Police Station Case No.11 of 2020 dated 27.01.2020 under Sections 498A/448/326/326A/307 of the Indian Penal Code, adding Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code;
Sajamal Ali Laskar Versus The State of West Bengal
Mr. Uday Sankar Chattopadhyay Ms. Sadia Parveen. …for the petitioner.
Mr. Rajendra Banerjee Mr. Imran Siddiqui. …for the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 6 years 6 months.
Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that only the evidence of the investigating officer is left.
Having considered that the case is at an advanced stage and the prayer has been advanced to grant some time, I direct that the prosecution be granted three months’ time to complete the evidence of the investigating officer. If in spite of co-operation by the accused persons the evidence of the investigating officer is not completed within the period of three months from the date of communication of this order, learned trial court will release the
2 petitioner on bail on such terms and conditions as he deems fit and proper.
With the aforesaid observations, CRM(M)2778 of 2025 is
disposed of.
All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
