PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following: 3 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE BALAJI MEDAMALLI CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 4485 OF 2026 ORDER:- The Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity ‘the BNSS’), has been filed by the petitioners/A-1 and A-2 seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No.35 of 2026 of Kukunoor Police Station, Eluru District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 318(4) read with 3(5) of BNS, 2023 and Sections 3, 4 and 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2. Heard Sri Bolla Venkata Rama Rao, learned counsel for the petitioners, and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. Perused the record. 3. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submitted that charge sheet was filed on 30.04.2026 and the police have also issued notice under Section 35(3) of BNSS, 2023 on 14.04.2026 but the petitioners have not appeared before the police. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor also submitted that as the charge sheet is already filed, the presence of the petitioners is not required and they need to appear before the Court as and when they receive summons from the Court. 4.
