Order:-
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner virtually online submits that the petitioner was engaged as a driver on daily wages in the year 1992. The petitioner has sought for extension of minimum time scale as was extended to other similarly engaged employees.
The respondents have cited budgetary constraints for extending the minimum time scale to the petitioner. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents in extending the minimum time scale to the petitioner, the present writ petition is filed. 2. There is no representation for the respondents. 3. However, the counter filed by the respondents would indicate that the proposals for extension of minimum time scale to the petitioner were submitted to the Government. The proceedings of the District Collector dated 13.04.2012 would also entitle the petitioner to minimum time scale. The Principal Secretary also requested the respondents to furnish proposals in respect of employees working on daily wages, NMR, and consolidated pay in the respondent societies who are working prior to the cut-off date 25.11.1993 along with their service particulars for examining their cases for extending the benefit of minimum time scale. It is also stated that the petitioner particulars are also sent to the Government. 4. Recording the same, this writ petition is closed, leaving it open for the petitioner to challenge any subsequent proceedings, if so aggrieved with. There shall be no order as to costs. 4
As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N
