JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before the Court calling in question the registration of a crime in crime No.193/2022 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 464, 468, 420, 120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 82 and 83 of the Registration Act, 1908. 2. Heard Sri. B.S. Venkatanarayana, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; Sri. K. Nageshwarappa, learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondents No.1 - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34015 CRL.P No. 1790 of 2025 C/W WP No. 5656 of 2025 and 2; Smt. B.G. Nayana Tara, learned counsel appearing for repsondent No.3. 3. The third respondent, who has been allegedly impersonated in the case at hand, communicates to the second respondent/Sub-Registrar, who in turn registers the subject crime. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is also a victim of such impersonation. 5. An impeding application is preferred by Smt. Shoba Kumar. It is the case of the impleading applicant that there is a confirmation deed executed by the third respondent in favour of the impleading applicant. Therefore, the third respondent must not have any grievance in the case at hand. Be that as it may. 6. In the case at hand, who has impersonated whom is a matter that is required to be investigated into. The petitioner claims to be a victim. The third respondent claims to have been impersonated. Therefore, the complaint is made to the Sub- - 6 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34015 CRL.P No. 1790 of 2025 C/W WP No. 5656 of 2025 Registrar, who in turn has registered the complaint. In such cases, the investigation is imperative. Therefore, reserving liberty to the petitioner to knock at the doors of this Court, in the event a final report could be filed and the final report would go against the petitioner, the petitions stand disposed, leaving open all the contentions.
