Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. Matter is heard in presence of learned advocates representing petitioner, State respondent and respondent nos. 4 to 6. 3. On looking into the prayers made in this writ petition it appears that petitioner has tried to make out a case for preserving his tenancy right thereby mandamus is sought for upon the concerned police authorities to issue necessary direction. If petitioner is aggrieved by acts and actions of his landlord and if it is found that his tenancy right cannot be protected in that event petitioner is required to approach Civil Court in pursuit of remedy. 2 4. Police authority is not the appropriate authority to decide petitioner’s tenancy right and to take steps to protect the same. 5. Hence, present writ petition is dismissed. 6. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law. 7.
