This petition has been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS/439 Cr.P.C read with Section 528 BNSS/ 482 Cr.P.C for grant of interim bail for one week to the petitioner in FIR No. 78 dated 04.07.2021 under Sections 302,307,336,324,323,506,148,149 IPC (Sections 103,109,125,118(1), 115(2), 351(2), 191(3), 190 BNS) and Sections 25,27,30 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Makhu, District Ferozepur. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's brother passed away on 01.07.2026 and that his cremation and the initial funeral ceremonies were performed on 02.07.2026 by the petitioner's aged father, as the petitioner could not participate on account of his continued incarceration. Learned counsel further submits that the Bhog ceremony of the deceased is scheduled to be held on 10.07.2026 and that the presence of the petitioner is essential for the performance of the final rites and ceremonies of his deceased brother. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Mr. P.S.Pandher, Asst. A.G.Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent- State and has verified the above said facts. 5. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on interim bail for a period of ten days, commencing from 09.07.2026. He shall surrender before the Jail Authorities on the expiry of the aforesaid period, subject to his furnishing the requisite bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Illaqa Magistrate/Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned.
