Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record. 2. The grievance of the petitioner that his dismissal from service, a major penalty sometime in 2022 should now be obliterated from his service records as the criminal proceedings against him have been dropped and his conviction has been set aside by the Hon’ble High Court of Jharkhand at Ranchi. 3. Pursuant thereto the petitioner had approached the appellate authority of the respondent no. 1 sometime in January, 2026, which is pending without any consideration. In fact even as on May, 2026, the appellate authority has not taken any steps in the matter for reinstatement of the petitioner. 4. I direct the appellate authority to consider the appeal of January 5, 2026 and pass a reasoned order disposing of the same by August 20, 2026 upon hearing the petitioner. 5. With the afore-stated directions, WPA 15109 of 2026 is disposed of. 6. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the case and the appellate authority will decide the matter on merits and the documents as may be placed by the petitioner. 2 7.
