This is a petition for seeking transfer of writ petition bearing WP(C) No. 435/2025 titled “Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and others Vs. Vikas Balotra and others”, pending adjudication before the Jammu Wing of this Court. 02. The transfer is sought on the ground that the judgment which is assailed by the Union Territory in WP(C) No. 435/2025 is also subject matter of challenge in WP(C) No. 1848/2024 titled “Mohammad Abbas Mir and others Vs. Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and others”, pending disposal before the Srinagar Wing of this Court. It is, therefore, contended that, in case the two petitions are not taken up together, there is a possibility of two conflicting judgments being delivered in the said matters. 03. Having regard to the nature of grievance projected, I am of the considered opinion that WP(C) No. 435/2025 titled “Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and others Vs. Vikas Balotra and others” is not required to be transferred to the Srinagar Wing of this Court. Rather, the same can be taken up for consideration alongwith WP(C) No. 1848/2024 titled “Mohammad Abbas Mir and others Vs. Arif Hameed I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document 14.08.2026 14:38 Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and others”. Ordered accordingly. 04. The Registry of the Jammu Wing of this Court is directed to list WP (C) No. 435/2025 on 18th August, 2026, to be taken up virtually along with WP(C) No. 1848/2024, which is coming up for consideration at Srinagar Wing of this Court on the said date. 05. The date already fixed in WP (C) No. 435/2025 pending before the Jammu Wing of this Court shall stand preponed accordingly. 06. Disposed of.
