The petitioner is an accused in S.T. No. 02/2025, arising out of Barkagaon P.S. Case No. 255/2024. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 1803 of 2025. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 28.10.2024. It has further been submitted that the petitioner does not have any criminal antecedent. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. The petitioner is alleged to have inflicted a Bhujali blow on the person of the informant which resulted in a grievous injury having been suffered by him. It also appears that out of nine charge-sheet witnesses seven witnesses have been examined. Regard being had to the specific nature of allegation leveled against the petitioner and the fact that the trial is on the verge of closure, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
