Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody for more than one year five months and till date only one witness has been examined. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the seizure in the present case is 19400 bottles of phensedyl were recovered. Having considered that the huge quantity of contraband recovered, I am of the opinion that prosecution must be granted some opportunity to at least proceed with the evidence of the seizure list witnesses. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of petitioner in CRM (NDPS) 1240 of 2026 is rejected at this stage.
