JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR CHOUDHARY ------ For the Petitioners : Mrs. Vani Kumari, Advocate Ms. Jagriti, Advocate. For the State : Mr. Pankaj Kumar, P.P. ------ Order No:-02 Dated:-24-09-2026 Heard the parties. Apprehending their arrest, the petitioners have moved this Court for grant of privilege of anticipatory bail in connection with Ranchi Sadar P.S. Case No. 608 of 2025 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 223(a), 224, 121(1), 132, 351(2), 352, and 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the allegation against the petitioners is that the petitioners along with the co-accused persons voluntarily caused hurt to public servant and deterred them from discharging their duties by obstructing them to prevent demolition work by sitting on the ground and instigated the local people against the police personnel. It is submitted that one person bit the lady police constable namely Usha Devi and tore her uniform. It is next submitted that the allegation against the petitioners is all false, the petitioners are senior citizen women and the allegation levelled against them are general and omnibus in nature. It is further submitted that the petitioners have no criminal antecedent as has been mentioned in paragraph no.09 of the anticipatory bail application. It is last submitted that the co-accused person with similar allegation has already been given the privilege of anticipatory bail by this Court vide order dated 08.07.2026 in A.B.A. No. 2952 of 2026. It is then submitted that the petitioners undertake to furnish sufficient security including cash and also undertakes to cooperate with the investigation of the case and further undertakes that they will not annoy or disturb the informant or any of his family members in any manner during the pendency of the case. Hence, it is submitted that the petitioner be given the privilege of anticipatory bail. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail. Considering the facts of this case, I am of the opinion that it is a fit case where the above-named petitioners be given the privilege of anticipatory bail. Hence, in the event of their arrest or surrender within a period of six weeks from the date of this order, the petitioners shall be released on bail on depositing cash security of Rs.5,000/- each and on furnishing bail of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Ranchi in connection with Ranchi Sadar P.S.
