Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in FIR No. 165 dated 14.05.2026, under Sections 331(6), 115(2), 3(5), 324(4) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Police Station Sadar Mansa, District Mansa. This is the first petition for anticipatory bail. 2. On 01.06.2026, following order was passed: “Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in FIR No.165 dated 14.05.2026, Police Station Sadar Mansa, District Mansa under Sections 331(6), 115(2), 3(5) and 324(4) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (B.N.S.), 2023, Police Station Sadar Mansa, District Mansa. This is the first petition for anticipatory bail. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there was delay of two days in registration of FIR; that all the offences except offence under Section 331(6) IPC were bailable in nature and the FIR was concocted after due deliberation. He further submits that petitioner, who had clean antecedents was ready and willing to join investigation. Petitioner, therefore, deserved to be enlarged on anticipatory bail. Notice of motion. Mr. Bareen Pratap Singh, AAG Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. He opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail on the ground that petitioner was the main accused to who injuries were attributed and his custodial interrogation was required. In the given facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest, petitioner shall be released on interim anticipatory bail subject to his furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer. Petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Status report be filed by the State on 06.07.2026.” 3. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Karnail Singh submits that petitioner has joined investigation and is no longer required for custodial interrogation. 4. Petitioner has joined investigation pursuant to order of this Court dated 01.06.2026 and his further custodial interrogation is not required.
