Pursuant to two work orders issued by the Executive Officer, Kashipur Panchayat Samiti, the petitioner undertook repairing work of 80+80 Angan Wari Centres under Kashipur ICDS project under different Gram Panchayats under Kashipur Panchayat Samiti. Upon satisfactory completion of work, he raised bills of Rs.2,38,920/- and Rs.2,39,040/- before the concerned authority which are yet to be disbursed. The petitioner seeks disbursal of the same. It appears from the report submitted by the State that the factum of completion and measurement of the work done by the petitioner is subject to verification. The payment is subject to availability of fund. In view of the fact that the work has been completed by the petitioner in 2021 and verification of such work as well as payment is still due, the BDO, Kashipur Block, being the 5th respondent herein is directed to cause verification of the work done by the petitioner and take necessary steps for disbursal of the amount due to the petitioner within 8 weeks from the date of communication of this order. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 2 Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.
