(ORAL) On 05.06.2026, the following order was passed:- “Petitioner-Manjeet Singh, aged 48 years, has filed the instant second habeas corpus petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for appointment of warrant officer and then to release detenue-Ms. Gurwinder Kaur (daughter of the petitioner) from the illegal custody of respondent No.4- Hardeep Kaur and his family members. 2. By filing a joint protection petition (CRWP-1511-2026) by the detenue and respondent No.4-Hardeep Kaur, direction dated 10.02.2026 was got issued for taking decision in the representation submitted by them for providing adequate safety and security to their life. As per contention recorded in the said order, both the petitioners therein (detenue and respondent No.4 herein) have performed their marriage and on that account, they were staying together. 3. Let respondent No.3-SHO, Police Station Division No.7, Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar, is directed to ensure presence of detenueGurwinder Kaur and respondent No.4- JITESH LAL 2026.07.07 13:48 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRWP-6511-2026 -2- Hardeep Kumar on the next date of hearing.
