The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for a mandamus directing the respondents to furnish NEET (UG):2020 admit card, NEET (UG):2020 scorecard, and NEET (UG):2020 eligibility certificate pertaining to the petitioner by considering the representations dated 13.02.2026, 12.02.2026 and 06.01.2026 vide Annexure-A, B and C respectively. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:32818 WP No. 18432 of 2026 2. The respondent has not considered the said representations. Hence, this writ petition. 3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Solicitor General of India for the respondent. 4. Learned counsel to the petitioner submits that the petitioner has appeared in the National Eligibility- cum-Entrance Test (“NEET”) Examination for Under Graduates held in the year 2020 and the petitioner has lost his score card, admit card, and eligibility certificate. The petitioner applied for re-issuance of his score card, admit card, and eligibility certificate and the respondent has not considered the said representations submitted by the petitioner. Hence, he prays to allow the writ petition. 5. Learned Additional Solicitor General of India submits that the respondent will preserve the records upto 90 - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:32818 WP No. 18432 of 2026 days from the date of declaration of the results, as per the Information Bulletin of NEET (UG) 2020. 6. He submits that the respondent did not preserve the documents sought by the petitioner in terms of the Information Bulletin. Hence, the respondent is not in a position to furnish the documents sought by the petitioner. Hence, prays to dismiss the petition. 7. Perused the records and considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the respective parties. 8. It is an undisputed fact that the petitioner has appeared for the NEET (UG) Examination held in 2020. The respondent had already issued score card, admit card and eligibility certificate to the petitioner. However, the petitioner has lost the said documents and hence, applied for issuance of certified copy of the said documents. The respondent has furnished the Information Bulletin in respect of NEET (UG) 2020, wherein clause (15.6) pertains to Weeding out Rules and the same reads as follows : “ 15.6) Weeding out Rules: The record of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UG) - 2020 would be preserved upto 90 days from the date of declaration of result. “ 10. Admittedly, the results were declared in the year 2020 and after 90 days thereof, as per the Information Bulletin clause (15.6), the said documents will not be preserved and hence are not available with the respondent. 11. In view of the same, by considering the NEET (UG)- 2020 Information Bulletin, I do not find any ground to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
