Mr. Debajyoti Deb Mr. Neel Chakraborty. …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 229 days and is innocent of the charges. It has been additionally submitted that the accusations are against the other accused persons which arose out of matrimonial dispute. Petitioner is the father-in-law aged about 52 years and the neighbours in the present case did not corroborate the evidence on which the prosecution intends to create the foundation of the case. Learned advocate for the State submits that the victim was alive for some time within which a Judicial Magistrate recorded her statement. I have considered the said statement. Petitioner’s 2 complicity of allowing the other female folk to set the deceased on fire by pouring kerosene oil do not inspire this Court to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM(M)1011 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
