This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner Lalchand Miah @ Lalchand Ali has prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in connection with Rangia P.S. Case No. 259/2025. 3. On 19.11.2025, the informant lodged an FIR stating that her 15 year old daughter was missing since 8th of November, 2025. Somebody informed her over phone that the girl was missing. 4. Now, the mother of the victim girl, who is the informant, filed an Interlocutory Application stating that she is ready to give her daughter’s marriage with the petitioner when she will attain majority. Both sides have compromised the matter in this manner. 5. The petitioner Lalchand Miah @ Lalchand Ali has already spent 79 days in judicial custody. 6. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 7. This Court is of the opinion that under the given circumstances of the case, the petitioner no longer deserves to be detained in custody. Therefore, his bail application is allowed. 8. It is hereby directed that the petitioner, Lalchand Miah @ Lalchand Ali, who was arrested in connection with Rangia P.S. Case No. 259/2025, shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Rangia, Assam.
