JUSTICE P SREE SUDHA ORAL ORDER Learned counsel for the petitioner is present. Learned counsel for respondent is absent. 2. Though this matter has come up for admission, it is taken up for final hearing and disposed of by this order. 3. This transfer petition is filed by wife for transfer of MC.No.25/2025 filed by husband for divorce before the Senior Civil Judge and JMFC, Channapatana, Ramanagara District to the Senior Civil Judge and JMFC at Mandya. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is residing in Kalenahalli village, Mandya with her parents which is at a distance of 70kms. She has no independent source of income. She also lodged complaint against the respondent in Crime.No.48/2025 for an offences punishable under Sections 85, 115(2), 352, 351(2), 54, 189(2) and 190of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:32565 CP No. 127 of 2026 Crl.Misc.No.134/2025 is filed under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence (DV) Act, 2005 before Mandya Court. The respondent preferred Crl.P.No.10143/2025 before this Court to quash the proceedings in Crime.No.48/2025 and it is still pending. The petitioner has no independent source of income and she cannot incur the travel expenses. 5. Learned counsel for the respondent has not turned up. 6. Considering the reasons stated by the learned counsel for petitioner, this Court finds it reasonable to transfer MC.No.25/2025 from the Court of Senior Civil Judge and JMFC, Channapatana, Ramanagara District to the Senior Civil Judge and JMFC at Mandya.
