CRM-25473-2026 For the averments made in the application, which is supported by an affidavit, the same is allowed. Delay of 13 days in filing the appeal is condoned. CRM-25474-2026 in/and CRA-D-993-2026 (O&M)
1. Present appeal has been preferred against the order dated 30.04.2026, whereby bail application under Section 439 Cr.P.C preferred by the appellant in case bearing No. BA/4183/2026 has been dismissed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Amritsar.

At the outset, learned State counsel contends that the prosecution evidence is nearing completion and out of 29 witnesses cited by the prosecution, 22 have already been examined while 03 witnesses have been MONIKA VERMA 2026.07.07 14:43 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment chandigarh
CRM-25473-2026 and CRM-25474-2026 in/and CRA-D-993-2026 (O&M) -2- given up. He thus contends that only 4 witnesses remain to be examined. He further contends that the case is fixed for recording of remaining prosecution evidence on 05.08.2026 and the prosecution shall conclude its evidence either on the next date of hearing or within a period of two months of the date next fixed for recording of the prosecution evidence.

Learned counsel for the appellant, however, pleads ignorance of the aforesaid fact.
4. Be that as it may, taking into consideration the statement made by learned State counsel, at bar and noticing the advanced stage of the trial, it would not be appropriate to interfere with the proceedings at this stage. Accordingly, the present appeal is disposed of as not pressed at this stage.
5. However, the respondent-State shall remain bound to complete its prosecution evidence within the period as indicated today in Court.
6. Pending application(s), if any, shall also dispose of.
