The Court made the following Order:
Heard Ms. D Madhavi, learned counsel representing the learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. Siva Jyothi Kudipudi, learned Assistant Government Pleader representing the respondent No.2 and Ms. A Priyanka, learned counsel representing the learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.3 to 5. 2. The present writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not releasing an amount of Rs.9,23,537/- towards the works executed by the petitioner i.e., Conducting of Survey for Establishment of Second National Law University Kurnool Balance Survey. 3. The learned counsel representing the learned counsel for the petitioner made submissions with reference to the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition and contends that though the petitioner has executed works in question long back and there are no remarks with reference to the quality of the same, the bills are unduly delayed. She submits that due to non-payment of bill amount, the petitioner is subjected to serious hardship and irreparable loss. 4.
On the other hand, the learned Assistant Government Pleader representing the respondent No.2, placed a copy of the instructions dated 24.02.2026, from a reading of which, it is clear that the steps are being taken for payment of bill amount. NJS,J W.P No.32129 of 2025 4
5. In view of the admitted position and as there is no dispute with regard to the petitioner’s entitlement for payment, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to arrange to pay the admitted bill amount of Rs.9,23,537/- after making statutory deductions, as expeditiously as possible within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6. So far as the claim for interest is concerned, the petitioner may work out his remedies before the appropriate forum, if it is so advised. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________________ JUSTICE NINALA JAYASURYA Date:24.02.2026 Ksj
