Heard learned counsel for the parties, learned Standing Counsel for the State and perused the record. 3. The instant writ petition has been filed for the following relief: "Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to the Respondent No. 2 Additional Commissioner (Judicial) Prayagraj Division Prayagraj to decide the appeal /case no 1422 of 2024 (Computer case no. C202402000001422) Laxmikant Dixit vs Rakesh Kumar and others under Section 207 of U.P Revenue Code 2006 pending before him expeditiously within stipulated period. So, justice may be done." 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the aforesaid appeal is pending since 2024. It is further contended that several dates have been fixed but the same has not been decided yet. He prayed that the same may be decided, expeditiously. 5. No useful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition stands disposed of finally with a direction to respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the aforementioned appeal, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Aadarsh Mohan Pandey, Harshvardhan Tripathi, Himanshu Shukla Counsel for Respondent(s) : Azad Rai, C.S.C.
