The petitioner is an accused in connection with Sessions Trial Case No. 553 of 2022 arising out of Puso P.S. Case No. 28 of 2005, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla. The petitioner and other accused were apprehended from a vehicle and brown sugar was recovered from their possession. It appears that from the possession of the petitioner 10 grams of brown sugar was recovered. Although it has been submitted that by the learned counsel for the petitioner that some of the similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court, but regard being had to the fact that the petitioner has a criminal antecedent of similar nature of offence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner which stands rejected.
