ORDER 12.08.2026 CCP(S) No. 185/2026:
1. By this petition, petitioners herein have alleged non-compliance of the interim order dated 28.04.2026 passed by this court, the relevant paragraph of which is reproduced as under:
“Meanwhile, the respondent-Collector shall consider and decide the representation dated 11.04.2026 stated to have been filed by the petitioners.”
2. Compliance report stands filed by the respondents, it is stated that the representation of the petitioners dated 11.04.2026 has been considered by the respondent, whereby the claim of the applicants for the compensation of Shamlat land has been rejected vide order dated 09.07.2026 passed by Deputy Commissioner (District Collector) Baramulla.
3. In view of the above, order dated 28.04.2026 has been complied with by the respondent in its letter and spirit.
4. Contempt proceedings, as such, are closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioners to challenge the consideration order dated 09.07.2026, if they so desire.
WP(C) No. 916/2026:
5. Ms. Shaila, learned counsel appearing vice Mr. Mohsin Qadri, learned Senior AAG, seeks and is granted four weeks’ time for filing reply with an advance copy to the other side.
