IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH 129 CWP-18854-2026 Date of Decision: 01.07.2026 Yash Jangra (minor) through his father Rakesh …Petitioner(s) Versus Union of India and others …Respondent(s) CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE TRIBHUVAN DAHIYA Present:- Mr. Shiv Kumar Rana, Advocate for the petitioner Mr. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Senior Panel Counsel, Union of India, for the respondents TRIBHUVAN DAHIYA, J. (Oral) The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the rejection slip dated 15.05.2026, Annexure P-6, issued by the third respondent, and a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner for selection in Army Boys Sports Coy, ASC Centre (South), Bangalore. 2. Apparently, the impugned rejection slip has been issued by the third respondent/Lieutenant Colonel, Officer Commanding, Army Boys Sports Coy, ASC School and College, Bangalore. It is also not disputed that the selection in question is being carried out in Bangalore, therefore this Court will not have jurisdiction to entertain the petition. 3. The petition, accordingly, stands disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the Court of competent jurisdiction for the grievance raised in the petition, if so advised.
