Memo is filed in this regard which reads as under: “The undersigned counsel for the petitioner herewith deposits an amount of Rs.1,60,000/- (Rupees one lakh sixty thousand) vide D.D.No.278490, drawn on State Bank of India, Chikkabalapur, in favour of the Registrar General, High Court of Karnataka, as per the direction of this Hon’ble Court on 07.04.2026. The demand draft bearing No.DD No.278490, drawn on State Bank of India, Chikkabalapur, is herewith produced along with this memo. It is submitted that an amount of Rs.40,000/- which was the 20% was paid before the Hon’ble First Appellate Court vide D.D.No.278164, drawn on State Bank of India, Chikkaballapura Branch as per the Order dated 27.08.2025 passed in Crl.Appeal No.50/2025. The copy of the annexures are herewith produced as Annexure-A and B and the copy of the receipt of the fine amount of Rs.2,000/-is also annexed as Annexure-C. Thus, it is respectfully submitted that the entire amount awarded towards compensation together with the fine, totaling Rs.2,00,000/-, stands - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:19530 CRL.RP No. 556 of 2026 deposited before this Hon’ble Court and the Hon’ble First Appellate Court.” 2. The original demand draft stated supra is ordered to be sent to the concerned branch for further action. 3. Since the entire fine amount is paid and complainant is no more, revision petition stands disposed of, setting aside the imprisonment. 4. The compensation amount deposited by the revision petitioner is permitted to be withdrawn by the dependents of the complainant, under due identification.
