In the instant petition, the petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- I). A writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, commanding the respondents to issue a fresh passport to the petitioner. II) A writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, commanding the respondents to issue a fresh international passport for ten years validity period or else extend nine more years of validity to the passport issued to him on 09.11.2025 vide Passport No. 0123292 the Annexure- II to this petition. 02. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has applied for issuance of fresh passport by way of an MIR ARIF MANZOOR I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document 14.08.26 application, which is being protracted by the respondent no. 2 without any reason, cause or justification, constraining the petitioner to approach this Court through the medium of instant petition. 03. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner would feel satisfied in case the instant petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider and decide the application of the petitioner for issuance of fresh passport within some reasonable time frame, to which, Mr T. M. Shamsi, learned DSGI, representing the respondents 2 and is not averse. 04. Be that as it may, without commenting upon the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the application stated to have been filed by the petitioner for issuance of fresh passport in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date, a copy of this Order is made available to them. 05.
